Spotlight: Gorjana Jewelry
For ten years, jewelry designer Gorjana Reidel has been creating everything from chandelier earrings to delicate layering pieces. “I grew up making things, whether it was sweaters for my Barbies, or creating jewelry out of buttons,” says Reidel, who lives in Laguna Beach. “My grandmothers and my mom were always sewing or knitting or crocheting something so it was always around me and part of my life. Jewelry is something that sort of fell into my life after college and it has proven to be a great medium for me, and I love that it is a form of art and it is limitless.”
The Serbia-born designer—who has just launched a new website along with an anniversary collection—is relaunching of her ten of popular pieces, all recreated with real stones. (The five styles will be carried exclusively on, while the remainder will be featured on Shopbop). “We have taken our most iconic pieces and made them a bit more special by adding diamonds to them,” says Reidel, who studied at Arizona State University. “We created a collection that was a bit elevated and something you would want to keep forever.”
