Spotlight: Ferragamo MTO Driver
Flip-flops beware; there’s a new off-duty men’s shoe cropping up dockside this summer. Just as guys are kicking off their socks, Salvatore Ferragamo has launched its men’s made-to-order Driver shoe in a customizable design. The footwear can be crafted with crocodile, ostrich, condor calf, and suede mink in a plethora of colors from bright white to gleaming ultramarine to minimalist gray. Soles come in shades of cherry, dark brown, gray or navy and the traditional Gancio hardware—inspired by the wrought iron gate at Salvatore Ferragamo’s Florentine Palazzo, Spini Feroni—comes in graphite, polished gold, brushed palladium, or metallic blue. Of course no custom shoe from the Italian fashion house is complete without initials, or some personalized lettering. Here, a collection of images of SoundCloud co-founder Alexander Ljung, race car driver Mathias Lauda, and photographer Johannes Huebl sporting custom pairs of their own design.
