Just as dance cards fill with a plethora of parties celebrating both Grammy candidates as well as Academy Award nominees, what’s a woman to wear each night? Luckily, Trisha Gregory has just landed in Los Angeles with trunks of gowns and clutches that make up Armarium‘s treasure trove of designs available to borrow for a day or night on the town. The newly-launched company co-founded by longtime Salvatore Ferragamo representative Gregory and fashion designer Alexandra Lind Rose is currently ensconced (in pop-up form) at Eric Buterbaugh Florals in Los Angeles, through Friday, February 5. “We’ve had access to friends in fashion for years,” says Gregory. “We were trying to figure out how to give such access to others.” The solution is a startup with a really large curated closet filled with dresses, gowns, skirts, blouses, and even a few jumpsuits ready to be loaned out for four days (or more, if necessary).

Borrow a piece for a party, a date, or any other occasion calling for a current look that’s eluded your personal collection. Temporary alternations are sanctioned and dresses can be mailed or messengered back post-bash. At the L.A. pop-up, designs by Salvatore Ferragamo, Peter Pilotto, and Erdem join looks from emerging designers curated by new fashion site, 151Luwolt. Plan for an in-person visit as the Armarium team culls many of the season’s brightest and boldest looks—pieces you covet for an evening, but perhaps not for life. And, if you miss the L.A. pop-up, the team is decamping to New York, to the top floor of the John Barrett Bond Street salon during fashion week, just as social calendars once again leave little room for dress dilemmas.
