Stanlee Gatti pulled together a host of creatives at the new FOG Design + Art fair that opened at Fort Mason in San Francisco with a preview party filled with art lovers and top designers on Thursday, January 16. Inside the cavernous space housing the FOG fair just off the Bay, Gatti built this year’s version of 21Pop, a plywood booth to display designs by a selection of master craftspeople he discovered. Gatti selected a culinary theme for this year’s show and invited locals including blacksmith Angela Garo, who makes candlesticks and cooking utensils favored by Alice Waters, and June Taylor, who creates jams and yuzu candles, to display their wares for sale in the space.

Michael Tusk, executive chef and owner of Quince and Cotogna restaurants made pasta in the culinary booth, and he and his team of chefs hung the strips to dry on a rack designed by Gatti. The wooden contraption hung from the ceiling above a plywood range and worktable, and the flour and egg mixture could be seen drying throughout the evening. Guests went home with packaged pasta—a trophy of the evening—that will soon be for sale at Tusk’s beloved eateries.
