Perfect Pairing: Sacai + Sophie Bille Brahe
Hybrid shapes and distorted designs have been Japanese fashion line Sacai‘s stock-in-trade since its launch, and the chaotic layers Chitose Abe and her team created for the spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection are no exception. But what about accessories? Should such complex looks be worn without embellishment or is a more-is-more approach the answer? Copenhagen-based fine jewelry designer, Sophie Bille Brahe, has neatly resolved the debate this season, creating a five-piece fine jewelry collection in collaboration with Sacai and available at Net-A-Porter, to pair with the spring looks. The deconstructed earrings—made of 14k gold and delicately adorned with freshwater pearls—are designed to be worn as singles, thus neatly allowing wearers to follow the old adage: Take one thing off.
