Perfect Pairing: Levi’s + Commuters
They navigate the dense city streets of downtown Los Angeles and the flats of San Francisco’s financial district with the agility of a dancer. And yet, the street style worn by growing legions of cyclists is not necessarily conducive to the manic stops and quick swerves that characterize a typical morning commute to work by bicycle. Enter Bay Area-based Levi’s. A couple of years ago, the venerable denim company launched collections for men and also for women that were comprised of the sorts of clothes needed to dodge cars yet arrive at work suitably clothed. Now the new fall Commuter collections are rolling out. Best bets include skinny jeans with higher back rises, waxed coats that repel dirt and water, pants with deeper pockets for safer storage, and 3M reflective cuffs for visibility. Pedal forth.
