Perfect Pairing: Hermès + bow ties
The bandana is the latest garment to be elevated from common handkerchief to coveted objet now that Hermès has launched a silk twill bow tie collection for women. The storied French fashion house’s Fleurs et Papillons de Tissus design, resembling a bandana pattern, was created by Christine Henry and inspired by the trove of textiles at the Musée des Tissus in Lyon. The accessory also marks the beginning of an ongoing collaboration between the museum and Hermès. The new collection of ties includes three other designs and each one is pre-tied and adjustable so they can be worn around necks, on wrists, or adorning hair. The ties and all of the house’s silk patterns pictured on La Maison des Carrès will add a dash of whimsy to summer whites or the slate tones of fall.
