Chanel makeup artist Kate Lee found herself inspired by actress Keira Knightley’s blue dress as Lee created the Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit actress’ look for the Los Angeles premiere of Paramount Pictures’ new action film held at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday, January 15. “Keira wore a navy Chanel knitted dress with white details. I wanted to keep her looking more of the moment, and so we went for a navy creamy smudged eye.”
FACE
“Knightley had just gotten off the plane a few hours earlier, so I prepped her skin with Hydra Beauty Crème Riche (a new launch, slated to arrive on counters in February) to hydrate and give a great base for a natural-looking complexion. I used Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 for a nice uniform glow. On the cheeks, for definition and a nude blush, I used Le Blush Crème de Chanel in Cheeky (available in May).”
EYES
“I started out by lining the inside of the eye, upper and lower lash line with Le Crayon Khôl Intense Eye Pencil in Marine, then worked along the lash line above and below the lashes and gently blended the lines. I reached for Limited Edition Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Apparition, which is a beautiful shimmering navy, to melt away the lines and give a soft effect. Next, I curled the lashes and gave them one coat of Inimitable Mascara in Noir.”
LIPS
“To finish, I used Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Mademoiselle for a natural blushing lip.”
