Supporters of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles feted the renovated Exposition Park mainstay with a Grand Centennial Celebration on Saturday, June 8. Actor Jason Alexander announced the opening of the six-story Otis Booth Pavilion that showcases the institution’s famous fin whale, and more than 900 patrons previewed the new Nature Lab and Nature Gardens. Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook of Animal and Son of a Gun whipped up dinner, and, true to form, their infamous bacon chocolate crunch bars were on the menu.
