Girls to the Front 2016
On Friday, April 29, a swarm of music lovers and talents convened inside the fabled walls of Chateau Marmont‘s Penthouse 64 for the first annual Girls to the Front event, benefitting Girls Rock Camp Foundation. Partnering with Windows, Showtime, Universal and Medea Vodka, the evening honored Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, the lyrical geniuses behind Justin Bieber’s hit “Sorry” and “Good for You” by Selena Gomez, and included an alfresco dinner on the terrace hosted by Beth Ditto followed by an after-party and live auction hosted by actress Rachel Bloom. Presenters such as Hailee Steinfeld and Miguel took to the stage to commend ‘girls that rock’ nationwide, before introducing in-house performances by Sofia Guerrera and Jamey Geston from Girls Rock Santa Barbara. Sister-act Haim closed out the show, singing hits from their debut album, Days are Gone, and ending with an enchanting cover of Fleetwood Mac’s number one hit, “Dreams.”
