Armani Honors Scorsese & Sorrentino
Roberta Armani and the Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani celebrated acclaimed directors Martin Scorsese and Paolo Sorrentino at its flagship boutique in Beverly Hills on Friday, February 28, just two days before the 86th annual Academy Awards. The cocktail party honored Giorgio Armani’s friendship with Scorsese and highlighted their artistic collaborations like Made in Milan, a Scorsese-directed documentary on Armani couture. Giorgio’s niece Roberta hosted the gathering that included Cate Blanchett, Robert De Niro, Glenn Close, Naomie Harris, Dianna Agron, Anna Kendrick, Jamie Foxx, and Samuel Jackson. Armani has cultivated a steadfast partnership with directors and actors over the years and key suit designs were featured in Scorsese’s nominated film, The Wolf of Wall Street. The party also honored Sorrentino’s contribution to Italian cinema and his nomination for Best Foreign Language Film for La Grande Bellezza.
