Kathleen Doyle and Nan Summerfield hosted a luncheon and private preview of Doyle‘s inaugural West Coast auction on Tuesday, May 19, at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills. Collectors and guests including Candy Spelling, Lita Heller, Constance Towers Gavin, Hutton and Ruth Wilkinson, Sydney Holland, Brenda Vaccaro, Kay Pic, and Margaret Chen previewed jewels to be sold on May 21, including a diamond bracelet-watch once owned by Mae West and designs by Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, and Tiffany & Co. This may be the New York auction house’s first Beverly Hills event, but the house, established in 1962, is well-knowns in the region for handling the estates of such screen sirens as Gloria Swanson, Joan Crawford, and Bette Davis.
