Dos Gardenias + Waves for Water Benefit Party
Throngs of West Coast influencers and cool kids gathered in the coastal enclave of Malibu on Tuesday, December 6 to fete a cocktail bash and silent auction fundraiser for Waves for Water—an organization whose primary focus is allowing for clean water access as well as coordinating natural disaster relief efforts around the world—who partnered with swimwear line Dos Gardenias for the event. Held at ultra hotspot Little Beach House Malibu, the indoor-outdoor soiree was lined with framed oceanic-inspired photographs from the likes of Bruce Weber, Dewey Nicks, Anne Menke and Terence Connors that were up for auction. Dorothy Day and Brighdie Grounds, creators behind Dos Gardenias’ monochromatic utilitarian swim pieces, gathered with the likes of Bambi Northwood, Sal Masekela, Joy Bryant, Brody Jenner and Leah Forester as rock/blues/soul crooner Roméo Testa provided live music, perfectly in tune with the breaking waves below. The lively beachfront evening channelled all of its proceeds to Waves for Water’s Hurricane Matthew Relief Initiative, a program supporting areas of need in Haiti.
