On Friday, June 1, Step Up welcomed 800 people to the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills to honor actor Regina Hall and Step Up Teen Vivi as part of its annual Inspiration Awards. Presented by The Coach Foundation, the event drew a philanthropic-minded crowd of presenters and guests including Julie Bowen, Lisa Ling and Sanaa Lathan, as well as Coach-clad attendees January Jones, Louis Roe, Emeraude Toubia and Torrey Devitto.

Featuring inspiring speeches from the likes of First Lady of Los Angeles Amy Wakeland, Step Up Founder Kate Popofsky Kramer and this year’s Step Up graduates, the event also raised $500,000, thanks in part to Modern Family‘s Julie Bowen and 2012 Inspiration Awards teen honoree Lulu, who encouraged the crowd to open their wallets in the name of a good cause. Funds will go towards empowering girls from under-resourced communities and helping them fulfill their academic and professional potential.
