On Friday, October 20, Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern, the husband-and-wife duo behind luxury brand Co, and Neiman Marcus‘ Ken Downing hosted a dinner and collection presentation at Tony Duquette’s grandiose Dawnridge Estate in Beverly Hills to celebrate the launch of the brand’s first shop-in-shop at the department store. Guests like Marisa Tomei, Clare Vivier, Irene Neuwirth, Petra Flannery and Jessica de Ruiter explored the expansive 1950s property where the lookbook was shot, and viewed a collection presentation of Co’s Fall 2016, Resort and Spring 2017 collections, styled by Downing. Dinner was served in the fairytale-like garden amid gilded centerpieces with a menu by acclaimed Chef Minh Phan, who took time out of her current residency at Michelin-starred NOMA in Copenhagen for the special night. The opulent setting of Duquette’s estate also served as the inspiration for the L.A.-based brand’s Resort 2017 collection, which features a rich blend of textures, fabrics, and silhouettes with a “more is more” feel, very similar to Duquette’s maximalist masterpiece.
