Chanel Gabrielle Bag Dinner
Thursday night, Pharrell Williams effortlessly bagged the attention of an army of tweed-clad Chanel devotees.
“Pharrell has incredible style,” Rachel Zoe mused to reporters on the taupe carpet at Santa Monica Italian eatery Giorgio Baldi; while Kiernan Shipka who had mutual feelings noted, “I think Pharrell is the coolest. I love him for this and when he wore the shorts to the Oscars I was like, ‘I’m done, you’re the best.”
The intimate assemblage was in celebration of Chanel’s new It bag: The Gabrielle, a quilted chain-linked crossbody whose new campaign features Williams, Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevingne, and French model Caroline de Maigret. The evening included guests like Bella Heathcote, Kenya Kinski-Jones, Sistine Stallone, Lily Collins, Jennifer Meyer, Amber Valletta, Asia and Eva Chow, Dree Hemingway, Langley Fox and more who had nothing but praise for the unisex accessory.
“It’s so beautiful. It keeps that classic Chanel feel. You take on her persona and everything she fought for. It’s a really special bag,” Kinski-Jones said.
After posing with his co-host de Maigret, Williams joined his wife Helen Lasichanh and Katy Perry on the outside patio for a quick chat before being ushered inside. There, guests dined on rounds of pasta from the Westside staple.
Before leaving, Heathcote solidified Chanel’s knowledge of curating the perfect fête by saying, “The food is good, the company’s good, the vibe’s just good—they nail it every time.”
