amfAR Inspiration Gala L.A. 2014
Designer Tom Ford was honored at amfAR’s fifth annual Inspiration Gala benefiting the Foundation for AIDS Research that was hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and presented by Mac Viva Glam and Wells Fargo at Milk Studios in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 29. Guests including Paltrow, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Alessandra Ambrosio all showed some skin in looks by the talented designer who honed his craft at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent before launching his eponymous label. Rihanna presented Ford with the Award of Inspiration for his efforts in the fight against AIDS and the evening included performances by Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland of Coldplay and also by Diana Ross, prompting guests including Cyrus and Justin Timberlake to dance along. Stars engaged in a lively bidding war while Sharon Stone served as auctioneer and raised over $3 million for amfAR. The black-tie benefit brought together friends and colleagues including Kenneth Cole, Milla Jovovich, Patricia Arquette, Natasha Bedingfield, Kat Dennings, January Jones, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Morrison, Rita Wilson, and Bryan Lourd.
