The timeless designs of San Francisco’s cherished jewelry purveyor Shreve & Co. were on grand display yesterday as the jewelry house opened its estate trunk show with an exclusive private luncheon and fashion show. The 165-year-old institution’s exquisite estate jewelry was paired with elegant designs by fashion designer Karen Caldwell, who donned a 26.56-carat emerald necklace from legendary French actor Catherine Deneuve’s personal collection. The glimmering baubles that graced the runway spanned many different eras—from Edwardian filigree to dazzling diamonds of the Art Deco period. Running through Saturday, March 4, the trunk show boasts more than 300 extraordinary estate jewelry pieces on display. 415-421-2600, 150 Post St., San Francisco; shreve.com.
