San Francisco Opera Guild joined together the city’s top patrons to celebrate the benefactors of the upcoming Opera Ball 2016: La Révolution et L’Amour with a lavish cocktail party at the home of Ann and Gordon Getty on Thursday, May 19. The opulent interiors of the couple’s Pacific Heights residence provided an ideal backdrop for the festive occasion, which brought together Opera Ball Co-Chairs, Sandra Farris and Patricia Sprincin, and guests like Barbara Brown, David Gockley, Karen Kubin and Maria Quiros. Attendees were delighted with details of the highly anticipated Opening Night Gala, taking place on Friday, September 9, including the announcement of the night’s performance: Umberto Giordano’s Andrea Chénier. Proceeds from the grand forthcoming event—which kicks off the Opera’s 94th season—benefit the Opera Association and Opera Guild’s innovative education and community programs reaching more than 60,000 students annually throughout Northern California.
