After opening the doors to her latest location in Palo Alto’s Stanford Shopping Center last fall, design maven Jenni Kayne toasted her Silicon Valley boutique with a cocktail party at her minimalistic outpost in support of nonprofit Beyond Type 1, which aims to use the power of social media to advocate and cure Type 1 Diabetes. Tuesday night’s celebration was hosted by the organization’s founders Juliet de Baubigny and Sarah Lucas, as well as supporter Cori Bates, with twenty percent of sales through the weekend benefitting Beyond Type 1. The festivities continued the following day in the city, where hosts Vanessa Getty and Alexis Traina joined Kayne with an intimate lunch at rustic-modern Jackson Square eatery Cotogna.
