On Sunday, May 19, Every Mother Counts, the non-profit organization committed to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother, held its first-ever Bay Area fundraiser at the Bluxome Street Winery in San Francisco, sponsored by the Boedecker Foundation. Organization founder and model Christy Turlington Burns was joined by fellow event hosts Gina Peterson, Amy Williams, Bradley James, Alexandra Wells and more for an elegant luncheon, which successfully raised more than $160,000 towards maternal healthcare for mothers around the world. Seated in a sunlit room accented by white brick and a wall of wine barrels, attendees enjoyed gourmet fare curated by Shelley Lindgren (co-founder of A16 and SPQR), while hearing from keynote speakers like Dr. Laura Satchel, Every Mother Counts grantee and co-founder of We Care Solar.
