Carolina Herrera + Neiman Marcus Runway Show
Legendary designer and queen of evening wear Carolina Herrera made a special trip to San Francisco on Wednesday, March 29, to present her Pre-Fall/Fall collection with a runway show at Neiman Marcus in Union Square. The elegant afternoon saluted the San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary, San Francisco Opera Guild and the San Francisco Symphony for their efforts in introducing arts programs to children throughout the Bay Area. Teaming up with the department store’s vice president, Ken Downing, general manager, Alan Morrell and CH’s vice president of global marketing, Lauren Astry Sorensen, Herrera held her show on the Couture floor—replete with floor-sweeping midnight blue gowns as well as cascading, vibrant daytime frocks. The brand and Neiman Marcus had more than just a gorgeous collection to celebrate: This year marks the 35th anniversary of Carolina Herrera’s eponymous label, and since its launch in 1980, the line has been carried at the renowned department store.
