Toasting the opening of its new freestanding men’s store, Barneys New York teamed up with San Francisco magazine and pro basketball player Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors to throw a celebratory launch party in its new 19,000 square foot space on Tuesday, March 22. Tastemakers from across the Bay Area gathered at the sleek flagship to celebrate the latest addition to S.F.’s fashion scene, which is designed with floor-to-ceiling abba grey marble and an ivory spiral staircase, and features two floors full of fashion essentials, from shoes to sunglasses to dress shirts. Guests including Vanessa Getty, Trevor Traina, Michael Purdy and Joy Venturini Bianchi turned out to peruse the new shopping destination, which marks only the beginning of a multi-year expansion and renovation for the S.F. locale. Next up, the women’s store—connected to the men’s flagship—will undergo renovations and inherit the retailer’s beloved Italian restaurant, Freds, in Spring 2017.
