A Special Reception with Tony Bennett
Tony Bennett joined hosts Charlotte Mailliard Shultz, Willie Brown and Thomas Klein at the Penthouse Suite of the Fairmont San Francisco on January 26 for a reception supporting the building of a statue in commemoration of the legendary singer. The statue, designed by local artist Bruce Wolfe, will be unveiled in time for Bennet’s 90th birthday in August. Guests including Bennett’s wife Susan Crow, Stanlee R. Gatti, George P. Shultz and San Francisco mayor Ed Lee toasted to the sculptural project, which will play his signature tune, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” whenever someone passes its location atop Nob Hill.
