The eyes have it. This Saturday, the Marc by Marc Jacobs mobile store rolls into Los Angeles’ Fairfax district, stocked with sunglasses and frames designed to block rays and promote self-reflection. Though the lenses themselves may not trigger personal philosophical changes, perhaps seeing oneself in a new light will spark some soul searching among the flip-flop set. The truck, loaded with eyewear from the summer 2015 collection (as well as numerous mirrors from which to view one’s shaded reflection), began its cross-country journey in Brooklyn, traveled to Miami, and will make its final stop at The Grove. Onboard are round and square lenses in frames with such color combinations as nude pink and pale mustard, baby blue and dandelion yellow, and black with sky blue. And, because no summer road trip is complete without tunes, the truck is equipped with extra large speakers and playlists inspired by the retro and modern eyeglass designs. We’re siding with the majority opinion here.
