The 292-room property, located a short walk away from Fashion Island Shopping Center, features coastal-inspired guestrooms reconceived by Brayton Hughes Design Studios (whose other projects include The Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco, and The Clement Hotel in Menlo Park). The revamped rooms, with views spanning the Pacific Ocean, Newport Harbor, and Newport Back Bay, are layered with custom-designed mattresses topped with goose down duvets, upholstered headboards, and California-inspired artwork. “Although our new look is inspired by the prestige and appeal of Newport Beach, we have introduced contemporary boutique-like services and modern splashes of color to create a coastal ambiance of casual, fun elegance for today’s traveler,” says General Manager Gerard Widder.

Spend the day lounging poolside, rent a stand-up paddle board at the nearby Newport Aquatic Center, or book a spa treatment such as the Island Volcanic Detoxifying Therapy using purifying volcanic clay at the on-site spa.
