Regardless of the season, the palm tree-lined streets of Beverly Hills evoke the region’s seemingly endless summers. Naturally, the lush look and feel of the greenery in the city inspired a Diptyque candle created to mark the launch of the French fragrance and body care company’s boutique on North Beverly Drive. Now the shop—which opened in December—is stocking its last shipment of the limited edition wax, benefiting LAXART, the independent nonprofit contemporary art space in Los Angeles. The candles, scented with citrus and mint essential oils as well as white freesia and orchid, conjure up memories of chaise lounges poolside at the Beverly Hills Hotel or a stroll up Hillcrest Road toward Sunset Boulevard. Light one now and stockpile another for later. Call it a summer insurance policy.
