Perfect Pairing: Anne Sage + Move Loot
Just in time for tranquil fall evenings spent outdoors, blogger and author Anne Sage is collaborating with online furniture resale site Move Loot to create an inventive outdoor lair at her Highland Park house. “I wanted to create a space that felt like a natural extension of my living room; a casual spot to eat dinner, gather with friends, and watch the sunset,” says Sage. As she selected items from Move Loot’s trove of designs, the L.A.-based blogger was drawn to elements of casual Moroccan style as well as “the utilitarian elegance of Craftsman houses” in her neighborhood. The weathered finish of the teak patio set she selected from Move Loot’s furniture trove inspired Sage’s neutral palette and led her to add handmade ceramics and bunches of plants to the backyard retreat. Move Loot’s co-founder and CMO, Jenny Morrill, says she’s inspired by the vignettes bloggers like Sage have created for the neighborhood look books the site publishes. Morrill says the collaborations allow bloggers to use their interior aesthetic to “tell the story of neighborhoods.” Pull up a chair and take a look.
