This Sunday, Venice Beach dwellers should expect their bayside streets to swell with creatives, connoisseurs and curious wayfarers, as the Venice Family Clinic will hold its 38th annual Art Walk & Auctions. While the event will boast a lineup of artists like FriendsWithYou, Alexandra Grant, and Sam Durantto—all of whom will sell works in-person day of and online before the event—its main highlights will be John Baldessari, who created a limited-edition print for the cause, and Barbara Kruger, who holds the title of 2017 Signature Artist. In staying with tradition, the Art Walk will aim to benefit 24,000 underserved individuals who are in need of healthcare. Kruger reflects, “In these grotesquely scary times, it is more important than ever to help provide healthcare and shelter to those who are marginalized; whose voices are unheard and whose struggles are denied. The Venice Family Clinic has been an important force in providing healthcare to the community for 40 years and I’m honored to have been invited to join them in trying to make America a more just and empathetic nation.” As an added incentive, guests will have the rare opportunity to take a peek inside Google’s campus in Venice, as the company will open its doors to the public for the day. 340 Main St., Venice, CA 90291.
