The Sixth Annual Baby2Baby Gala Honors Gwyneth Paltrow
A who’s who of Hollywood including Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Kristen Bell and Nicole Richie, stepped out in impeccable style on the night of Saturday, November 11, to support Baby2Baby, the impactful Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides basic necessities like diapers and clothing to babies and children in need.
Designer and filmmaker Tom Ford was on hand at 3Labs’ headquarters in Culver City to present his close friend and the evening’s honoree, Gywneth Paltrow, with the Giving Tree Award, granted to women in the public eye who use their platform to give back, at the black-tie affair, which raised nearly $4 million for the organization helmed by Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein.“We need to rely on each other and we need to go into our communities and help and lift each other up,” said a Tom Ford-clad Paltrow in her acceptance speech. “There are people who really need us, which is why I am here tonight.”
Guests including former C cover star Zoe Saldana, in a black-collared dress from The Row, Chrissy Teigen, who donned an off-the-shoulder red gown from Costarellos, and a Roland Mouret-clad Jennifer Garner were treated to more than 20 food truck-style food stations led by L.A. culinary standouts Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Animal, Son of a Gun, Jon & Vinny’s and Trois Familia fame, who alongside offerings from other local hot spots including Felix, Craig’s and KazuNori, indulged guests in everything from lobster rolls and pastrami reubens to vegan sliders and double-decker tacos. Cocktails at the Oren Co-designed affair were curated by The Spare Room, perfect for sipping and bidding at the live auction, led by Richie and Bell, hitting the dance floor to nineties R&B favorites from SWV, or closing out the evening at the after party with a set from DJ Samantha Ronson.
