It’s been a whirlwind week for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists, whose electric group runway show at the Chateau Marmont sparked a parade of parties and events–even including an Instagram photo shoot challenge. On Thursday, October 27, curated concept boutique The Apartment by The Line decided to get in on the fun by hosting its own celebratory affair honoring a pair of the emerging talents: breezy bicoastal label Brock Collection and California minimalistic shoe brand Newbark. The hotly-tipped designers, Kristopher Brock and Laura Vassar of Brock Collection and Maryam and Marjan Malakpour of Newbark, got a chance to meet with their supporters while the devotees shopped the new resort collections in store. Newbark model Michele Ouellet mingled with Marjan as jewelry designer Rebecca de Ravenel tried on the latest range of black-and-white Brock Collection designs in the apartment’s covetable closet. With the previous CVFF winner roster touting some of the biggest names in American Fashion (Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, and Proenza Schouler), this year’s highly-anticipated NYC gala revealing the designer taking home first prize on November, 7 couldn’t come soon enough.
