The Broad + Louis Vuitton Celebrate Special Jasper Johns Exhibit
To welcome The Broad’s new special exhibit, “Jasper Johns: Something Resembling Truth,” the renowned contemporary art museum in Downtown L.A. hosted an elegant opening reception on Thursday, February 8.
The exclusive evening invited distinguished guests—including Miranda Kerr, China Chow, Karlie Kloss, Mark Bradford and Alex Israel—to enjoy a black-tie dinner and privately preview the landmark exhibition, which was organized in collaboration with London’s Royal Academy of Arts and sponsored by Louis Vuitton.
Boasting more than 120 of the beloved American artist’s iconic pieces—with contributions from the Broad collection, and rare public and private loans from across the globe—the exhibition features paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures that span Johns’ six-decade career, making it the first full survey of his work in more than 50 years.
“Jasper Johns: Something Resembling Truth” will be on view at The Broad through May 13.
