SFFILM + Jo Malone London Dinner for Darkest Hour
In honor of the second annual SF Honors awards in partnership with SFFILM, Jo Malone London teamed up with Dede Wilsey and Katie and Todd Traina to throw a celebratory dinner party on Monday, November 6.
Every year, the SF Honors award acknowledges achievement in filmmaking, and the 2017 accolade was presented to Darkest Hour, the Joe Wright-directed biographical war drama in which a nearly unrecognizable Gary Oldman portrays British Prime Minister Winston Churchill during the early days of World War II.
Hosted at the San Francisco loft of interior designer Ken Fulk, the intimate congratulatory dinner took place after a screening of Darkest Hour at The Castro Theatre and was attended by members of the film’s cast and crew, including Wright, Oldman, Ben Mendelsohn and Anthony McCarten. Classic British fare was served alongside wines from Napa Valley’s Blackbird Vineyards, while Jo Malone London’s signature English Oak & Redcurrant scented candles perfumed the air.
