On Tuesday, October 6th, the Segerstrom Family Ranch hosted a rare behind-the-scenes tour of their farm, followed by an intimate dinner for 50 of Orange County’s business and community leaders in support of the non-profit Festival of Children Foundation (FCF). Guests were invited to pick their own vegetables, which were then incorporated into dishes cooked table-side by 2014 James Beard award-winning chef Nancy Silverton of Osteria Mozza and Pizzeria Mozza. The five-course meal was paired with wines by Memento Mori Winery, whose founders Adam Craun and Hayes Drumwright were also in attendance. Envisioned by Sandy Segerstrom Daniels, managing partner of South Coast Plaza and founder and executive director of FCF, the donor cultivation dinner was enjoyed al fresco alongside the 1915 Segerstrom home.
