Salvatore Ferragamo + Harvesters Underwriter Party 2016
Vibrant suede booties, Art Deco sandals and furry heeled T-straps from Salvatore Ferragamo‘s latest collection took center stage on Thursday, September 22, as the Italian house invited guests to the home of Irvine residents Glenys and James Slavik for the 2016 Harvesters’ Underwriter Party, aiding the Harvesters 24th annual fashion show and luncheon taking place this evening. The annual affair was held in support of Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, which feeds more than 200,000 people a month affected by hunger through a network of 300 locations in the O.C. Well-heeled denizens were invited to experience the world of Ferragamo design, by way of a fully recreated Florentine design studio, replete with sketch drawings, artist materials, the aforementioned pairs of statement footwear and models clad in head-to-toe looks from the Fall/Winter 2016 runway collection. The immersive European experience continued as guests made their way outdoors, gathering amid a setting reminiscent of the Italian countryside: long communal tables, stone terraces, string lights and stunning hillside views.
