Amid the open-air patio of Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel, big-name beauty icons like Halle Berry, Ciara, Cindy Crawford and Jennifer Hudson joined Revlon in toasting its annual philanthropic luncheon in support of women’s health on Tuesday, September 20. The afternoon affair drew a bevy of local tastemakers and stars including Rashida Jones, Cassandra Grey, Erin and Sara Foster, Julianne Hough and Melanie Griffith, who honored Dr. Dennis J. Salmon, director of the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program at JCCC, for his monumental achievements and dedication to cancer research. To further commemorate his accomplishments, the cosmetics label donated $1 million toward his ongoing efforts. Hosts Ronald O. Perelman, chairman of Revlon, Fabian Garcia, Revlon CEO, and star-studded co-hosts—including Grey, Jones, Peggy Lipton and Jennifer Meyer—sat down to white-clothed tables lined with red roses and decorative centerpieces that read “Spread the Power of Love,” a nod to the brand’s second annual crowd-funding competition, LOVE IS ON Million Dollar Challenge. Despite the blistering L.A. heat, the cosmetic label’s annual, star-studded luncheon proved to be another successful event in the books toward furthering Revlon’s women’s health mission.
