On Friday, June 9, designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon brought Opening Ceremony’s Fall 2017 collection to the West Coast with an exclusive presentation in Los Angeles. Before kicking off the Made L.A.-sponsored show, OC invited guests to shop the pop-up boutiques of its trusted brands, which lined the event deck at L.A. Live. Shortly after 9:00 pm, ticket holders entered a white tubular structure to preview the line’s 34 looks boasting lucid patterns and textured fabrics. The show was seamlessly wrapped together with a short story dubbed “A Modern Western”—narrated by RZA of the Wu-Tang clan—for which the models played the roles. The event also pulled Ashley Graham, Tyra Banks and Sean Ross to the viewing. “Opening Ceremony has been around forever,” noted Ross. “I’ll always love it.”
