With the April release of his new book, Nathan Turner’s I Love California, Nathan Turner has had much to celebrate.

Of course, the Malibu-based designer did so with style, kicking off the festivities with an exclusive party on Thursday, April 26, at the Beverly Hills flagship boutique of Ralph Lauren. The evening, hosted by Elizabeth Chambers Hammer, included Lori Loughlin, Camilla Belle, Kelly Lynch and Mitch Glazer and other guests who indulged in citrus margaritas while perusing the latest Ralph Lauren Home collection. The coastal-inspired pieces from the all-American brand served as a fitting backdrop for feting the new tome, in which Turner pays homage to California through recipes and entertaining tips alongside snapshots of the Golden State.

The merriments continued on Tuesday, May 1, at the intimate Chairish x Nathan Turner luncheon. Held at Hedley & Bennett, the afternoon featured a Mexican-driven menu of Turner’s recipes, catered by Hank & Bean. Twenty-five guests, including Georgia Tapert Howe and Mary McDonald, gathered to celebrate the book, and also mark the new collaboration between Turner and Chairish, wherein the designer curated his must-have items from the online home goods platform. The range, now available, includes everything from vintage furnishings and tableware to rare china and contemporary art prints.
