Welcoming Maison Margiela’s new curated exhibition at Maxfield L.A., the Parisian house teamed up with fashion editor Lisa Love to host a cocktail party at the West Hollywood boutique on Thursday, September 7. China Chow, Kendall Conrad, Nick Fouquet, Ari Getty and other tastemakers had the chance to preview the pop-up show, which features 13 glamorous looks from the Fall/Winter 2017 “Artisanal” collection—dreamed up by the label’s creative director, John Galliano—and provides a behind-the-scenes look at the designer’s artistic process. On view at the Jean Prouvé House at Maxfield through September 21, the Maison Margiela Artisanal X Maxfield Pop-Up exhibit also coincides with the debut of a limited-edition Margiela t-shirt ($390) featuring an illustrated “selfie” face motif which echoes the collection’s ode to modern glamour.
