Legends 2016 Gala
One of the most highly-anticipated design bills in town, the annual Legends event drew thousands of design and architecture enthusiasts and influencers from across the world to the La Cienega Design Quarter (LCDQ) for three days of keynote panels, trunk shows, book signings, special appearances and cocktail parties from Tuesday, May 3 through Thursday, May 5. Over 60 designers (Nina Campbell, India Hicks, Jay Jeffers and Jane Hallworth, to name a few) participated in the annual window design contest, reimagining the windows of shops and showrooms throughout the LCDQ to represent this year’s theme: One of a Kind. Los Angeles designers Jamie Bush and Mark Cutler took home the Editor’s Choice award for Best Window, while the people’s choice awards went to designer, author and television host Nicole Sassaman and artist Onik Agaronyan. Nearly 70 design world luminaries such as interior designer and television host Nate Berkus, Architectural Digest Top 100 and Elle Decor A-List interior designer Madeline Stuart and Elle Decor Editor-in-Chief Michael Boodro took the stage for keynote discussions covering everything from design how-tos to the history of design. In its eighth consecutive year, the 2016 Legends event marked another successful milestone by celebrating all things design with some of the top tastemakers on the scene.
