Luxury skin care line La Mer splashed into its golden anniversary with a star-studded, ocean-inspired bash at L.A.’s Siren Studios on Tuesday, October 13. Co-hosted by Estée Lauder Companies Inc. President John Demsey, Crystal Lourd, Jamie Tisch and Quinn Ezralow, La Mer’s 50th anniversary celebration turned the 26,000-square-foot space into an underwater paradise, featuring mermaids, retro-carousal seahorses, elaborate maritime decor and live performances. Honoring the global skin care brand were celebrity attendees like Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Chrissy Teigen, Nicole Richie, Kelly Rohrbach and Derek Blasberg, who mingled while a theremin musician played instrumental melodies like Charles Trenet’s “Beyond The Sea” and model Lucky Blue Smith performed with his family band, The Atomics, against a digital backdrop of underwater footage. With sea kelp at the helm of La Mer’s nutrient-rich ingredients, the night was a fitting toast to five decades of excellence for the glowing brand.
