Ken Fulk’s L.A. Book Launch Party
Los Angeles’ social set converged for a spellbinding evening as hosts Sean Parker, Cornelia Guest, Douglas Friedman and C Founder and Editorial Director Jennifer Hale joined lauded California interior designer Ken Fulk on Thursday, November 3 in celebrating his final launch party (following New York and San Francisco bashes) for his mystical new tome, Mr. Ken Fulk’s Magical World. When guests like actor Gerard Butler, design maven Alexandra von Furstenberg and San Francisco’s social empress Denise Hale entered the discreet private nightclub venue, they were greeted with a snake charmer as a Prohibition-era jazz band accompanied by a burlesque performance and tap dancers provided the evening’s whimsical entertainment. A costumed white bunny—now a fixture at any Fulk bash—posed for shots in the magic-inspired photo booth, before each attendee left with a signed copy of the 250-plus-page, self-penned volume, which delves into Fulk’s extraordinary world of design. The evening was indeed a proper finale for the monthlong celebration of the first book by Fulk, whose opulent interiors and over-the-top parties have made him the go-to designer of Bay Area elite and beyond.
