On Saturday, March 3—the night before the 2018 Academy Awards—Roberta Armani welcomed Guillermo del Toro and the cast and crew of The Shape of Water to Giorgio Armani’s Rodeo Drive boutique in Beverly Hills for a celebratory cocktail party.

Alessandra Ambrosio, Colin Farrell, Eiza Gonzalez, Samuel L. Jackson, Ricky Martin, Jwan Yosef, Camilla Belle and other invitees, clad in the Italian label’s latest fashions, came together to honor the renowned Mexican director and his fantastical romantic drama, which went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture the following day.

Also in attendance was Sally Hawkins, who wore a black velvet Armani Privé gown to the soiree, and donned a shimmering silver number from the collection the next day at the Academy Awards ceremony, where the she was nominated for her starring role in the film.
