EIDOS + Simon Spurr Celebrate Debut Collection
To mark designer Simon Spurr’s premiere collection for Eidos, the label hosted a fashionable cocktail soiree at Soho House West Hollywood on Wednesday, May 2.
The new Fall/Winter 2018 collection by Spurr—who was appointed as creative director in November of last year—perfectly embodies the approachable, modern Neapolitan style of Eidos, which was launched by the men’s tailoring house Isaia in 2013.
Ilaria Urbinati, Ryan Kwanten, Brad Goreski, Kendrick Sampson, George Kotsiopoulos and other attendees enjoyed handcrafted cocktails and perused the new collection, for which Spurr took inspiration from otium: an abstract Latin term that denotes the pursuits of intellectual activities at times of leisure.
The new range’s tailored, sophisticated pieces are anchored by perfected outerwear staples—like the leather jacket, bomber, trench, and double-breasted jacket—while remaining playful with unique pieces like a wool poncho, a military-inspired topcoat with epaulette details, a pink cashmere sweater and cheetah-print Chelsea boots.
