Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle Los Angeles Boutique
To fete the opening of the new Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle Los Angeles boutique, Malle and L.A.-based artist Konstantin Kakanias held an intimate gathering inside the new perfumery on Tuesday, June 20. To start the evening off, guests were ushered through an illuminated hallway shelved with the luxury fragrances before being seated for a three-course meal that featured a farmer’s market melon salad, branzino, and for dessert, peach melba. Of course, the itinerary including indulging the sense of smell, and attendees like Wolfgang and Gelila Assefa Puck, Gregory Parkinson, Liseanne Frankfurt, and Honor Fraser were able to explore the floral scents of the fragrances, candles, soaps and hand creams that are all available at the Melrose Place store. The 1,200-square-foot space, which boasts artwork by Kakanias and furniture from French manufacturer Prelle, is the perfumer’s first West Coast boutique, which Malle describes as a “fusion of contemporary design with vintage Hollywood glamour.”
