As an ode to the vibrant Cruise 2016/2017 fashion show held on the streets of Havana this past summer, Chanel infused the same tropical spirit and Cuban flare into its exclusive preview party at the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday, October 19. Upon entering the famed hotel pool lounge, L.A.’s style-savvy crowd—including Rachel Zoe, Jen Atkin, Erica Pelosini, Jessica de Ruiter, Kelly Sawyer, Kendall Conrad and Natalie Joos—were greeted with a preview of French fashion house’s latest multi-hued separates, from classic Cadillac-printed skirts to bright yellow, embellished dresses. A live band brought the sounds of the island nation to the evening soiree, while waiters passed around delicacies like ceviche with plantain chips, croquettes and Cuban daiquiris for the ultimate immersion into Chanel’s paradisiacal dreamland. The collection officially hits Chanel boutiques and select stores this November.
