On Friday, October 23, fashion model turned shoe designer, Brian Atwood, unveiled his newest coffee table head-turner, Pumped, with an exclusive cocktail party at Eric Buterbaugh Florals. The evening showed no shortage of celebrity guests, including co-host Melissa McCarthy as well as Kate Hudson, Rachel Zoe and Kris Jenner—all accessorized in Atwood shoes or clutches—as well as designers Nathan Turner, Jennifer Meyer Maguire, and Thaddeus O’Neil. Featuring a promiscuous cocktail of sculpted masculinity with feminine demure, the debut tome contains provocative portraits from photographer Tony Duran, who captures rugged male models wearing Atwood pumps in the nude. The limited-edition book, priced at $150, was available for purchase at the event and benefits the non-profit organization, The Trevor Project, which provides support for the young LGBTQ community.
