The festive atmosphere at Farmshop

On Wednesday, November 28, friends, family and tenants celebrated Brentwood Country Mart’s 70th anniversary with a Farmshop dinner hosted by James and Heather Rosenfield. In addition to cocktails in the courtyard, partygoers enjoyed entertainment by jazz performer Chris Norton. And to further fete the milestone, guests contributed memories and words of gratitude written on Happy Menocal-designed postcards for a scrapbook to preserve Brentwood Country Mart’s legacy. “The survival of the Mart and its continued relevance is a testimony, not so much to us, but to the fundamental need that people have for other people,” James said, addressing all those in attendance. “Thank god we have managed to preserve a place for people to be with other people. Long live BCM!”
