On Thursday, April 28, furniture and accessories designer Alexandra von Furstenberg toasted the opening of her eponymous flagship’s new locale on Robertson Boulevard (a short jump from her former Melrose Avenue post) with an in-store soiree, followed by an intimate dinner at Il Piccolino. Nestled in the heart of West Hollywood’s Design District, the sleek new outpost drew L.A. designer heavyweights including Monique Lhuillier, Nathan Turner, Minnie Mortimer, Nate Berkus and Ross Cassidy for a first-look at the brand’s acrylic furnishings and tabletop accessories in the neon-clad space, designed by von Furstenberg’s husband, Dax Miller of DAX Design. Guests then made their way to neighboring Italian restaurant for an elegant seated dinner commemorating von Furstenberg’s new design haven.
